Synopsis: A weak east flow will prevail today Wednesday with relatively flat seas. Big changes are then expected as the remnants of Harvey are expected to develop into a tropical cyclone and move towards the region. Winds and seas will be on the increase. The system is now expected to move to the northwest toward the Middle Texas coast by early Friday morning. The chance for rain and strong wind will increase significantly Thursday and Friday as this potential tropical system moves toward the northwest. There remains significant uncertainty regarding the location and strength of this system. Mariners are advised to monitor the latest forecasts from the National Hurricane Center.
